Attunement
30” x 30” Acrylic on canvas. 2025.
The heron stands at the threshold between worlds. Rooted in water yet reaching toward the sky, it is a creature that embodies patience, awareness, and quiet wisdom. Rather than chasing life, it waits until the moment is right to move.
Concentric rings spiral around the bird, representing the rhythms that shape our existence: day and night, the seasons, birth and death, expansion and contraction, the inner and outer worlds. Every ending folds into another beginning.
The landscape transitions from lush green to golden fields, from daylight into a star-filled cosmos, illustrating that transformation isn't a destination—it's the natural order of life. The same intelligence that guides the tides, the migration of birds, and the turning of galaxies also lives within us.
Beneath the heron, ripples spread outward from each step, reminding us that even our smallest actions create waves beyond what we can see. The rainbow halo beneath its chest symbolizes the heart as a bridge between earth and spirit—a place where intuition, compassion, and authentic expression become one.
Subtle sacred geometric patterns woven throughout the painting hint at the invisible architecture connecting all living things. Though often unseen, these relationships bind nature, consciousness, and the universe into a single living system.
The heron does not resist the changing sky around it. It remains present, trusting the rhythm of the whole.
Attunement is an invitation to do the same—to slow down, listen deeply, and remember that we are not separate from nature's cycles, but expressions of them. When we align with our own inner rhythm, we discover that what we seek has been quietly guiding us all along.
