Rituals of Renewal
30” x 30”
Acrylic, spray paint, and ink on canvas. 2025.
I drag my body through the dirt for good reason.
I tear skin against stone and make space for the season.
With milk on my tongue,
i hide away from the word and dissolve into nothingness –
where everything exists.
ANd as i breathe in the mystery of my destiny,
with no attempt to resist,
I become weightless.
Promise swims in the downpour.
the sun and moon share the dance floor.
and i am also here to dance.
like windswept leaves on a branch,
i move my hips in a trance.
and it is not by chance
that the beat of my heart synchronizes
to the frequency of abundance.
The sky clears and blossoms open —
another season of gaia has spoken.
are you listening?
because she’s whispering —
a constant wave’s christening.
kneel in her abundant garden
she’ll show you all that you’ve been missing.
I drag my body through the dirt for good reason:
TO remember what i’ve stopped believing.
to learn from the pain that i’m feeling.
to let go of what no longer holds meaning.
to rise toward a brighter new season.
